The
F-Word reports on the horrifying news that women who wear make-up could be absorbing up to 5lb of the stuff a year! Which reminds me of a time when I lived in Japan and was the only woman in my office to come to work bare-faced. When we talked about it one day the other women said "You're so lucky - you have good skin, you don't need to wear make-up". Which of course poses a question over the definition of "need", whether the desire for people not to see your "bad" skin constitutes a "need". More importantly, as I told them maybe it is more like BECAUSE I don't wear make-up, I have good skin.
