If you haven't read this...

...you should. Susan Faludi's Backlash. I have no idea why the Guardian are reviewing it now, nearly 15 years after it was first published. Still it is a seminal piece. And just as relevant today as it was then. I don't think Ms Faludi would think much of Lad Mags...

Agreed, Faludi's book is required reading.

I re-read it recently and it is just as relevant today.

Perhaps The Guardian is simply doing its job.

Oops - forgot to say you prompted me to revisit the book with the comment you left at my blog a while back. ;) Cheers.

BTW, when are you embarking on your tour of the States...? ;)

Thanks gals. As for my tour of the states, I wish! However I may be in NYC for a week at some point in the new year doing gigs, just going round the new act clubs trying new stuff and mucking about so those of you in New York should get a chance to come join me for a beer somewhere.

Damn I'm on the West Coast.

But be sure and publicize your NY visit here on your blog well beforehand, so you can hook up with some blog fans!

Talkingcat - I'll have to check out "Stiffed."

I love the chapter where she analyses the anti-feminist men.
